Use public transport:

Not just within the city, but even when you go out on a vacation, try opting for a public transport. If not public transport, then at least opt for a group transport like hop-in-hop-off buses and boats. You can also opt for carpool for longer distances or enjoy a train ride rather than having a private vehicle to switch cities.

Plastic is a big NO

The best you can do it to ditch the one-time plastic items such as polythenes, plastic straws, water-bottles, plastic cups etc. And just in case you have one, make sure you don’t dump it after single use. In fact, you can recycle it and re-use it for later. For example, if you bought a water bottle at some point of time while travelling, don’t just drink water and throw it off, instead re-fill it and reuse it.

Bicycle?

Many tourist places give you an option to rent a bicycle for sight-seeing. If you see that option, grab it. Bicycle is the most eco-friendly way of exploring the neighbourhood and is also good for your health. Go for it!

CNG, EV or Hybrid cars:

Since the entire planet has become more conscious about the fuel conservation, the CNG, EV and Hybrid vehicles are easily available. If you are person who loves to rent a card and explore the place at your own pace then at least opt for something that is planet friendly.

Do not cut trees while camping

Camping is a great way to be within the nature and reap the max benefits. But people often cut trees to burn fire and cook food. Do not do that. Reduce the use of wood while camping as it will lower the emission of harmful fire which is not good for the environment.

Opt for organic products

Organic products are way better for the environment as they conserve water, use less energy and fertilisers and reduce pollution. So, either you can buy organic products or visit the farmer’s market and grab the fresh produce. There are many hotels which follow the farm-to-table concept. You can opt for those properties as well.
